The Itinerarium Urbis Romae (“Itinerary of the City of Rome”) is an eighth century listing of routes that can be taken through the city of Rome at the time, indicating what is seen on the right and the left as the pedestrian moves through the city.
The Itinerarium was written between CE 767 and about 820, and currently forms part of Einsiedeln Stiftsbibliothek Codex 326.
